We went to the Banksy exhibition in Covent Garden last week. Vandal or genius? Amazing or overhyped? Not quite sure. The Mail once described him as ‘the Scarlet Pimpernel of modern art’… I like that.

Was a fantastic exhibition! Many think he is just a pointless graffiti artist, but graffiti can be considered as an art form. When done in the right and legal places it is fantastic to look at.
I agree with Rebecca above in the right places and right styles ie not just meaningless tagging over signs it can be fab.

I’m in two minds. The pieces were great and the exhibition was really interesting. I’m not sure though if most of the hype is just about him being anonymous, creating that kind of brand, perhaps? Would he be as popular if he was open about his work?
